Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM)

The Nigerian Export-Import Bank is an export credit agency in Nigeria, that focuses on the development and expansion of the non-oil sectors of the Nigerian economy, with a view to reducing the country’s over-reliance on oil exports.

We were tax advisors to the agency. we helped to mediate between the bank and the relevant tax authority on tax matter, we served as representative of the bank during reconciliation meetings with the relevant tax authorities, we helped guide the bank towards being compliant with its tax obligations, we sensitize finance staff from time-to-time on evolving tax matters to enhance understanding and facilitate compliance, and we update the bank on changes in relevant tax laws of the Country, particularly as it directly affects the Bank’s operations (PAYE, WHT, VAT, Stamp Duties etc.).
